Daegu Metropolitan City (previous)
Daegu (literally 'large hill') formerly spelled as Taegu, is the fourth largest of South Korea and the third largest metropolitan area in the nation with over 2.5 million residents. Daegu is the principal city of the surrounding North Gyeongsang Province. Its previous flag was blue with an emblem in white and its official name, Daegu Metropolitan City in Korean Han'gul script.
