Arch of Titus

The Arch of Titus, in the eastern zone of the Roman Forums, was dedicated to Emperor Titus after his death by his brother and successor Domitian to commemorate the victory in the Judaic campaign of 79 CE, when the Temple of Jerusalem was destroyed, leading to the Jewish diaspora. The arch is 5.40 metres high, 13.50 metres wide and 4.75 metres deep and decorated with sculptures commemorating the triumph of Vespasian and Titus over the Jews.
