Imperial Rome, past glory
The Forum Boarium, along the Tiber river, with two temples that have survived almost intact. The Circular Temple of Hercules Victor was built at the end of the 2nd century BCE in Corinthian style. The Rectangular Temple is Ionic in style; it may have been built between 100 and 80 BCE and is dedicated to Portunus, the patron divinity of the port.
