Monumento a José Martí

A statue of José Martí, Cuba's national hero, in front of a 109 metre high star-shaped tower, on the northern side of the Plaza de la Revolución in the Vedado area of Havana. The José Martí Memorial was constructed between 1953 and 1958, honouring the 100th anniversary of Martí's birth.
