Afsluitdijk monument

The monument, designed by the architect Dudok, built on the spot where the “Afsluitdijk”, the Enclosure Dam was closed in 1932. The former Zuiderzee, now the IJsselmeer, can be seen behind it. This also is now the provincial border between Noord Holland and Fryslân.
