“Ringrijden”, Harlingen

“Ringrijden” along the Voorstraat in Harlingen: a couple in early 19th century costume ride in a “sjees”, a two-wheeled carriage pulled by a thoroughbred black Frisian horse; the woman tries to collect mounted rings with a pointed wooden stick while riding past at a steady trot.
