Muhammad Rahim-khan Madrasah

The portal of the Madrasah of Muhammad Rahim-khan, opposite the gates of Ko'hna Ark and one of the biggest in Khiva. It was constructed in 1876 on the orders of Seyid Muhammad-Rahim II (1863-1910), known also as a poet under the assumed name of Feruzshah and who surrendered to Russia in 1873; in Ichon Qala, Khiva's walled inner city.
