The iNcwala or First Fruits Ceremony in 1974-75

Marching with leaves

Boys bring “emacembe”, leaves of the “mbondvo” shrub to be used to close the gaps in the “inhlambelo”, the sacred enclosure in the cattle byre, where the most important iNcwala ceremonies will be held.
