Durrani Empire, 1747
The Durrani or Afghan Empire, under Ahmad Shah Durrani, based in eastern Afghanistan, conquered Peshawar in 1747, and two years later, ruled over almost all of present-day Pakistan. They lost most of the region to the Maratha Empire in 1758, regained it again in 1761, and lost it to the Sikh Empire in 1799. The flag of the Durrani Empire was a horizontal green-white-green triband.
