Golden Prayer Stupa

The Golden Prayer Stupa at Erdene Zuu Monastery, built in 1799; it is a Bodhi (Tibetan) stupa and is surrounded by eight smaller stupas. This is the highest and biggest stupa in Mongolia with a height of 13 metres. In the background the Tibetan style Lavrin Süm, where ceremonies are held every morning.
