Darkhan-Uul aimag
Darkhan-Uul is located within Selenge province in the north of the country. The city of Darkhan was founded on 17 October 1961, as a second industrial centre and is now Mongolia’s second largest town. It has a dark blue flag with a golden emblem on the centre and a narrow vertical stripe near the fly. This provincial emblem consists of two rings each with four tangent discs aligned in a regular pattern, surmounted by a three-tongued flame, representing the past, present and future.
