A performance of “Pungmul”, or “Nongak” (Farmer’s music), a traditional drum dance, performed at the Korean Folk Village near Suwon. These kind of performances, comprising music, acrobatics, folk dance and rituals were traditionally performed in rice farming villages in order to ensure and to celebrate good harvests. The dancers playing small “sogo” drums, wear “sangmo” hats with a long ribbon that is twirled around while they sometimes perform acrobatic moves.
