Ssanggyesa Temple, South Gyeongsang Province

Ssanggyesa Myeongbujeon

Ssanggyesa Myeongbujeon, the hall located on the same line with Daeungjeon, sharing almost equal importance - the result of the change when orthodox Buddhism absorbed some traditional folk beliefs in Myeongbu and Yaksa. Ceremonies for the repose of the souls of the dead take place here; it is also called Jijangjeon or Siwangjeon and is a shrine typical of Korean temples.
