Officials and dancers at the Jongmyo Jerye Royal Ancestral Memorial Rituals, with the Deungga, the orchestra which plays on the upper terrace, including the Pyeongyeong, a set of 16 tuned jadeite chimes fastened in two rows on a wooden frame and the Jeolgo, a drum placed on a wooden box. Jongmyo Jaeryeak, the musical part of the ceremony, originated over 500 years ago.
