Palermo, the capital city of Sicily
The quite well-preserved mummified body of a bishop, in his vestments and mitre in the Capuchin Catacombs in Palermo. Originally, in the 17th century, the catacombs were intended only for dead friars, but in the following centuries it became a status symbol for local luminaries to be entombed into the Capuchin catacombs.
