Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Friuli-Venezia Giulia is an autonomous region with special statute in the north east of Italy; its capital is Trieste. It consists of the historical-geographical region of Friuli and a small portion of the historical region of Venezia Giulia (Julian March). The Friulian language is spoken in most of the region, with Venetian, and Slovene near the border. A blue flag with a golden eagle is the old flag of Patriarchate of Aquileia (circa 1000-1420) and a flag for Friuli.
