Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol (Trentin-Südtirol in Ladin), is an autonomous region in northernmost Italy. Since the 1970s it consists of two autonomous provinces, Trentino and South Tyrol. It was part of Austria-Hungary until it was annexed by Italy in 1919. German and Ladin are spoken here. The flag is white over blue with the coat of arms of the region, with in the first and the fourth quarter a Trento eagle and in the second and the third quarter, the eagle of Tyrol.
