Florence, the Renaissance city
Feeding the pigeons on the Piazza della Signoria in front of Florence's Palazzo Vecchio. In front of the palace is Bartolomeo Ammannati's Fountain of Neptune and a copy of Michelangelo's David; the original had been standing here until 1873, when it was moved to the Accademia Gallery. The replica was erected in 1910.
