People's Republic of Croatia, 1946
Socialist Republic of Croatia, 1963
On 29 November 1945, Croatia joined the five other republics that would make up the Federal People’s Republic of Yugoslavia, proclaimed on 31 January 1946. Its flag was the red-white-blue Croatian tricolour with a gold-bordered red star in the centre, overlapping the red and red blue. In 1963 the republic’s name was changed to the Socialist Republic of Croatia, but the flag remained unchanged.
