The Adriatic coast of Croatia
The view from the tower of the Cathedral to the Zlatna Vrata (Golden Gate) on the north side of Diocletian’s Palace and the bell tower of Saint Arnir, an Archbishop of Split before being stoned to death in 1180. The nunnery complex that was here suffered a devastating fire in 1888 and was completely demolished in 1945, except for this 18th-century bell tower and a small chapel.
