At the festival grounds of the yearly Pujllay festival in Tarabuco, Bolivia, two kinds of dances can be seen: a kind of Spanish-inspired dance with rapid foot tapping, done by men and women without elaborate costumes and men dancing in colourful costumes wearing “Montero” headdresses resembling Spanish helmets and “gallu-gallu”, jangling spurs.
