Leeuwarden, the Capital of Friesland
The Oldenhove, a Late Gothic church tower that was never finished as it started to lean during construction between 1529-1533. The adjoining Catholic St. Vitus church, built in the 9th century, was demolished in 1595 but the sagging tower remains, in the medieval centre of Leeuwarden.
