Khoja Akhrar Mosque

The Khoja Akhrar Vali Juma Mosque, established in 819 CE, at the highest point of the “shakhristan” (centre) of ancient Tashkent. FThe mosque was named after one of the Sufi leaders of the oriental Middle Ages - Khoja Akhrar Vali, who presented the city with this building, constructed on the foundation of the old Juma (Friday) mosque in 1451. The last restoration of the mosque was performed in the 1990s. There are three domes crowning the mosque now.
