Samarkand: towards the outskirts
View towards the Ustad Alim Nasafi Mausoleum in the central part of the Necropolis of Shah-i-Zinda (meaning “The living king”) Ensemble, including mausoleums and other ritual buildings, dating from the 9th - 14th and 19th centuries. Its avenue of mausoleums contains some of the richest tile work in the Muslim world.
