Timurid Empire, 1370

The Timurid Empire (Gurkaniyan), founded in 1370 by Timur (Tamerlane) with its capital in Samarkand and including present-day Uzbekistan except Khwarezm, its most western part. Its flag is according to the Catalan Atlas (1375) and displays three red bezants (heraldic designs based on gold coins) on a black background, with a white fringe.
