Nadir Divan-Beghi Madrasah portal

Phoenix depicted on the portal of Nadir Divan-Beghi Madrasah, to the west of the Lab-i Hauz (Labi Hovuz) pond. It was dedicated to Nadir Divan-Beghi, an important grandee, vizier, and also an uncle of the Emir of Bukhara, Imam Quli Khan, who ruled from 1611-1642.
