Swazi Celebrations
Unmarried girls dancing during the traditional wedding of Prince Mfanasibili, one of the sons of King Sobhuza II, in Bhekinkosi near Luve. They wear short “indlamu” bead skirts and “umcwasho” tassels from their heads, indicating if they have a boyfriend or not. Young warriors run towards them, slamming their shields on the ground as a sign of appreciation.
