Toucan, Bigiston

A Toucan (member of the family Ramphastidae), brightly marked with its large, colourful bill, in the village of Bigiston on the west bank of the Marowijne River (Maroni River). The name of this bird group is derived from the Tupi word tukana, via Portuguese.
