Princely State of Swat, 1849
The Yousafzai State of Swat was a kingdom established in 1849. It acceded to Pakistan in 1947 and had its autonomy restricted in 1954; in 1969, like all other princely states, it ceased to exist. In 1972, all titles, styles and privileges of the rulers were abolished. Its flag was green with a yellow fort and may only have been adopted around 1946; a more rectangular version was used as a standard of the Wali, the ruler.
