Swayambhunath stupa

The Swayambhunath stupa, with its gilt Buddha shrines at the dome-shaped base. On top of this is a cube structure, with eyes of Buddha looking in all four directions, representing Wisdom and Compassion, a gilded pinnacle and umbrella, symbolising the heavens, royalty and protection.
