Mahazedi Paya stupa

The gilded zedi (stupa) of Mahazedi Paya in the town of Bago (Pegu). Mahazedi (“great stupa”) was originally built in 1560, destroyed in 1757 and reconstructed in 1982. In the foreground means of transport: a horse buggy and an ancient bus.
