In Zuun Zuu

In Zuun Zuu, the easternmost of the three temples at Erdene Zuu Monastery that were preserved, is a statue of the adolescent Buddha flanked by Janraisig (Chenrezig or Avalokitesvara in respectively Tibetan and Sanskrit), the Bodhisattva of compassion, at left and Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelukpa or Yellow Hat sect of Buddhism in Tibet. The temple was built at the request of Tüsheet Khan Gombodorj and his queen Khandojamtso.
