Music and Dance of Mongolia
A demonstration of Khöömii “throat singing” by a member of the Erdene Zuu Group of Kharkhorin. He sings a constant drone while simultaneously creating overtones by changing the shape of the resonant cavities of his mouth, voice box and the back of his throat, producing more than one pitch at the same time, almost sounding like whistling.
