Govi-Altai aimag
Govi-Altai Province, named after the Gobi desert and Mongol Altai mountains, is in the south west of the country. Its flag is light-blue over yellow, with the blue stripe twice the width of the yellow one. The provincial emblem at the upper hoist features a jumping mountain goat below a blue snow-capped peak, surrounded by a red ornamental border. Below it, on a red ribbon, is the name “Govi-Altai” in gold Cyrillic capitals on an ornamental base. The “Soyombo”, the national emblem, is at the top.
