State of Chuuk, 1997

In 1997 the flag of Chuuk State was updated from the original 1979 design of the Truk flag. It still has 38 white stars encircling a white coconut tree centred on a field of blue, although presently there are 40 municipalities in the State: 16 within Chuuk Lagoon and 24 in the Outer Islands.
