Crown Colony of Malta, 1875

The flag adopted in 1875 followed the same pattern as other flags in the British Empire: a Blue Ensign with the country’s seal or badge, on a white disk, on the fly. The badge was a white Maltese cross on a white and red panel framed with what looked like a gingerbread.
