Prishtina, Kosovo's Capital City
The Cathedral of Saint Mother Teresa in Pristina (Katedralja e së Shën Nënë Tereza në Prishtinë), a Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to the Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun and missionary, Saint Teresa of Calcutta. The foundation was ceremonially laid by the then President of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova, himself a Muslim. It was inaugurated on 26 August 2010, the hundredth anniversary of her birthday, before construction was completed; it is at the intersection of Bulevar Xhorxh (= George) Bush and Bulevardi Bill Klinton, named after American presidents who supported Kosovo's independence.
