Gjakova, in western Kosovo
The Ethnographic museum of Gjakova along Rruga Yjet Erenikut, situated in a traditional house, built in 1830 by master craftsmen from Dibra, or Debar, North Macedonia). It represents a typical urban residence. The building initially belonged to the Gjakovar family Sina, and was later purchased by the Haxhismaili family. In 1981 it was taken from this family under ownership of the Municipal Assembly in order to convert it into an Ethnographic Museum. The building has two storeys and two garrets and has a rich collection, showcasing local history and culture.
