Traditional Seoul, Korea’s Ancient Capital
Bosingak, the belfry where a special bell was hung to notify people of the opening and closing times of the city gates and emergencies such as a fire, during the Joseon Dynasty. Originally called Jongnu or Jonggak, it was built in 1396 in Insadong but rebuilt here during King Gojong's reign.
