Dhrtarashtra and Virudhaka

The Gate of the Four Heavenly Kings in the Naksansa temple complex is dedicated to the four heavenly kings in charge of protecting the Buddha-Dharma, guarding the temple and helping the fourfold assembly. In the east stands Dhrtarashtra (He who maintains the state) holding a lute and in the south Virudhaka (He who enlarges) holding a sword.
