Gongju, South Chungcheong Province
Bust of King Muryeong (462–523), the 25th king of Baekje, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, who reigned from 501 until his death in 523 when the capital was in Gongju (then called Ungjin). The Baekje kingdom existed in south west Korea from 18 BCE – 660 CE. The bust, with the king's personal items, is in Gongju National Museum.
