In Hahoe Folk Village

A sculpted post with a thatch of reeds in Hahoe Folk Village, a traditional village from the Joseon Dynasty, preserving its period architecture and folk traditions. “Changsung” guardian poles were traditionally erected at the entrance of pathways to villages and temples, as guardians against evil spirits and diseases.
