Cheorwon and the DMZ, Gangwon Province

North Korean Tunnel

In the Second Tunnel that was dug by the North Koreans under the DMZ, Cheorwon. It was discovered on 24 March 1975 at the end of long days of excavation work. The North Koreans would have had the capability to invade the South with 16,000 men per hour.
