Santa Maria Assunta Church

The Salita della Motta, a narrow cobblestone street, leads up towards the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, built for the Community of Orta to celebrate the end from an epidemic of the plague in 1485. It became the parish church of Orta in 1560. It is now a favoured venue for weddings.
