Minaret, Via Crespi

The minaret, inspired by the splendour of Baghdad's architecture, towers above Vila Crespi (Vila Pia), built in authentic middle eastern style in 1879 by Cristoforo Benigno Crespi, an Italian cotton merchant. It was converted at the end of the 1980's into an exclusive 4-star hotel: Hotel Ristorante Villa Crespi, surrounded by private gardens which lead to beautiful Lake Orta.
