The Piazza Tre Martiri (Square of the Three Martyrs), the main square of Rimini, named for the three partisans Mario Capelli, Luigi Nicolò and Adelio Pagliarani who were hanged on 16 August 1944 by the Nazis. In 1946 the Piazza Giulio Cesare was renamed and dedicated to them as a symbol of the Resistance and of the fallen in the struggle for liberation in the territory of the Province of Rimini.
