Trinidad, Cuba’s best-preserved colonial town
The Church of the Holy Trinity (Iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad) just off Plaza Mayor in the heart of Trinidad. It has a Neoclassical façade and was constructed between 1817 and 1892 on the site of a previous church that dated back to the 17th century but was destroyed in a hurricane. In the background is the tower of the former church and convent St. Francis of Assisi (Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco de Asís).
