Habana Vieja, Old Havana
The Catedral de San Cristóbal (La Catedral de la Virgen María de la Concepción Inmaculada de La Habana), the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception. It was built in a Baroque style with several Tuscan elements and considered one of the best examples of Baroque architecture in Cuba. The Jesuits began construction of the cathedral in 1748 on the site of an earlier church and it was completed in 1777.
