Camagüey, Cuba’s third-largest city
Parque Ignacio Agramonte in Camagüey with the statue of Ignacio Agramonte y Loynáz (1841-1873), a Cuban revolutionary, who played an important part in the Ten Years' War (1868–1878), and the Iglesia Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria; built in the early eighteenth century, it has been rebuilt several times. The current appearance of the cathedral is from 1864. The church is dedicated to the patron saint of the city, the Virgen de la Candelaria. The huge bell tower is topped with a statue of Christ.
