Italian Dalmatia, 1918

Italian Dalmatia, 1918

At the end of the First World War, Italy held on to portions of Dalmatia (mainly the regions around Zadar (Zara in Italian) and some islands. However, there were only a few thousand Italian speakers in Dalmatia. The flag used here was that of the Kingdom of Italy, a green-white-red vertical tricolour with the arms of Savoy in its centre, dating from 1861.
